From a Simple Taste to a Big Dream
In July 2021, while attending Advanced Individual Training (AIT) in the Army at Fort Lee, Virginia, Champ’s founder experienced something unforgettable — Philadelphia Water Ice. Having never tasted anything like it before, one spoonful turned into inspiration.
The flavor, smooth texture, and refreshing experience instantly stood out. It wasn’t just dessert — it was something special. In that moment, a vision was created: bring this experience home to Texas — specifically Houston.
What started as a short-term goal quickly became something bigger. The mission was simple: introduce a delicious frozen treat to the community while creating moments people could enjoy with family, friends, and loved ones.
